Loving What You Do!

Friday Reflections:Teachers Really Do Crave Feedback
April 3, 2016

The month of February flew by but I had a chance to be a guest blogger for www.job.ai where I wrote about Loving What You Do. Check it out!

It’s the month of February and everyone is feeling warm and fuzzy with love in the air. Some think it cliché to “love what you do” but making a career out of something you love doing is the most rewarding thing you can do. There’s never a better time to start looking for your dream job. You will hop from cloud to cloud on that dream job journey but when you arrive it will feel like heaven, even on the rough days.

When you choose to do what you love, you will feel more fulfilled. Your career is as much about personal fulfillment and growth as it about the paycheck. So as you go on your dream job journey remember to look for the right opportunity instead of taking a job you’re not completely passionate about. When you let your passion guide you, you will love what you do.

Loving what you do not only motivates you, but it helps you to become a source of motivation to others. Your mental health is improved, it allows you to be more malleable in order to be creative and open new ideas. Loving your career will provide meaning and purpose, which is associated with psychological well-being and health. It will also give you a boost in energy, you will take an active interest in learning every aspect of the business, helping you develop grit to get through the daily grind.

When you love what you do you are able to serve others better. Your passion translates into being the best in your field. You are always on a search to learn and improve in order to master your craft. You are compelled to push against yourself in order to grow and lead .The combination of your passion and ambition will result in superior customer services.

As a working mom and entrepreneur, it is so important to me to be a role model for my young daughters. While there might be busy weeks that require more time, my girls know that I love my job, that it’s meaningful to me and that I am proud of the work I do. It is my hope that as my girls grow up, they are inspired to find careers that fulfill them and that they are passionate about.

So work hard, be passionate and define success in doing what you love.
